My Sunday

Sunday, May 13, 2007
The chirping of the birds awakes me this morning. As I stretch my half-awake body, the sweet morning greetings & kiss from G makes my body wants to cuddle more in bed. Realizing that it's already 10 in the morning, I streched my body some more to awaken it while giving attention to the melancholic sounds of the chirping birds. It was a wonderful Sunday. Weather is so fine and sunny. As I gently leave the bed, I brushed the cobwebs in my eyes & hurriedly went to pee as it is usually my first morning routine. And then, freshen up myself to prepare myself for my Sunday routine. As I went back to the room, I could smell the aroma of G's coffee. I couldn't help it...my mouth crave for the bitter taste of it. But then, this time I have to prolonged my cravings. So, I just indulge myself with sandwich as breakfast match with hot green tea. As I was enjoying sipping the tea , my mind too was busy organizing my days routine. Usual Sunday routine is to cook lunch for everyone. I planned ahead what to cook for today....Ginataang Munggo & Pork Adobo, an all time Filipino dish. I know it would be a hit for my Polish family. So, I just had to prepare the needed ingredients & cook it with much gusto.

Yesterday was a fun day too. Me & my mother in law made a mother's day cake that we would serve for Sunday's coffee time with family. I had to assist my mother in law in making the frosting & icing since she is an expert on cakes. And I design the outside decoration of the cake. It was a simple chocolate cake with choco-coffee frosting & white frosting or icing on the outside. But we're damn proud of it! It would be my first mother's day cake. By the way, here in Poland they don't celebrate mother's day today but on the 26th day of May...but since I am used to celebrate mother's day in the Philippines on this day, I made a simple celebration for everyone. That is the cake as an offering not only for me..but for my mother in law, my mom and for all mom's in the world.

Later in the afternoon, we took a deep breath outside the house to smell the fresh air. I made rounds of walk in the front yard smelling the fresh leaves & flowers of spring as G took some pics of me. Naks! so big now with my preggy jumper suit.

And so, I took some macro pics too in those small flowers I saw in the front yard 'cuz their unique beauty & small existence caught my attention. Nothing really makes me happy seeing the wonderful beauty of life.

As I retire tonight, I would be thankful for the wonderful day...the fine weather, wonderful quality time with the whole family, another life to live with, simple joys of living life with love in your heart & being loved in return.

Truly it is a wonderful day...serene Sunday...My Sunday!
