We're back!

Friday, May 18, 2012
We are back from a one month long vacation in my country, Philippines.  I now realized my number one bucket list . Though our first two weeks weren't so great. We are adjusting with the very hot summer weather like 38 degrees weather...we had diarrhea and vomiting. But over-all we are enjoying our stay at my parents home. There is no place like home exactly.

some pictures of our trip......

one of the oldest house in the Philippines and in Cebu - The Yap-Sandiego house. It's a Spanish-Chinese inspired house. This house reminds me of my grandparents house before.

a wonderful  afternoon swim at Cordova Nature Park Resort. My children likes to swim all day.

Iza's first encounter of the Gumamela flower. It's a popular tropical flower actually.

calachuche flower..another tropical flower.

one of the biggest mall in my City - Ayala Center Cebu. Cebu (my place) is the mall capital of the Philippines. It'salready a way of life of most  people there to go to the malls other than parks. I think to get away with the warm/hot weather outside.

The Heritage of Cebu Monument summarizes the history of Cebu through sculptures made of concrete, bronze, brass and steel. It depicts scenes of important events in Cebu's History. Locals said that while workers were excavating during the building of the monument, stone wares and skeletons were unearthed. These date back prior to the colonization of the Spaniards. These are evidence showing the my place Cebu has a rich culture before Magellan's arrival in the land.

after a long winter and wearing boots and socks, i am enjoying wearing flip flops and sandals there and a free sand massage :-)

Agus Hotel, nice pool and kid friendly.

Now that we are back..i promised myself to sew and do more crafty things.

Have a nice spring day!
