I won!

Tuesday, June 18, 2013
What I've got from my e-mail last night?

(for I haven't checked my public email for sometime now)

Yes! A bombshell swimsuit pattern that everyone in the sewing blogosphere are buzzing about.......

This is one of the many fabulous surprise in this sewing blogging community. Heather Lou of Closet Case Files emailed me that I won in a blog contest at Novita's blog verypurpleperson. Really fantastic! Been eye-ing on this pattern for sometime now. Blame the whole sewing community for they convinced me that this is absolutely great pattern to work with. I'm hard to please when it comes to swimwear and clothes that involves more skin exposure. I'm not into it. It isn't me. I'm such a MARIA. :-) And I always seek for one that isn't too modern yet vintagey in style. So when I bumped into this bombshell swimsuit that everyone is talking about, I can't help but put it in my sewing list to do this summer. Never did I know, I will get this as a price. All for free! Who would not love free, right?

The sew-along with this pattern is now going on. So, I'm still in the process of gathering my materials but for sure I can't follow right on time with the sew-along for there's more important things I needed to attend to. For sure, when I'm back I'll work with this swimsuit right away. Hopefully, something to look forward to wear and use this summer. Just the right time! for I needed to give myself a break after a long cold winter and being sick And I hope, I will have the courage to share with you all the outcome of this bombshell swimsuit that everyone been trying on and  this time  ME wearing it. Yay! something new to watch here. For it is my first time sewing a swimwear but as well first time exposing myself with more skin. I love my confidence these days.......Oh well, just inspired.

*wink

If your up to the challenge of sewing a swimsuit like the bombshell swimsuit why not stop by HERE to purchase the pattern and for the sew-along HERE.

Wish me all the luck to this swimsuit challenge. Yay!

Sureau Dress Sew-along: Fabric

Friday, November 23, 2012
I know! too late for me to post the fabric that i will be using for my Sureau dress.
Better late than never anyway.
my mind was debating whether to use the first fabric with yellow, violet, green flower print or the orange flower print.

end up, choosing this fabric which is 100% cotton for the Sureau dress. So summery and lively color.

closer look of the fabric. Isn't it lovely?
I found this seller referred by fellow sewing bloggers here in Poland. Then, I realized their shop is just nearby our place. So,  went personally to visit the shop and I am so happy seeing so many fabric all over the place.  The name of the fabric shop /seller in Allegro.pl is PIEGATEX

If you happen to be near my area of Poland, you can visit their shop in the address below:

PIEGATEX
ul. Bema 1
41-902 Bytom

Sklep firmowy:
PIEGATEX TKANINY
ul. Wałowa 4
41-902 Bytom

More list of fabric shops here in Poland as posted HERE by Monika Magdalena.

So, what happened now to my Sureau dress? I'm on my way to success of sewing this dress. Just got no much updates the past days for I am so occupied with family stuffs. I hope to get to sew and finish the dress next week. I maybe behind in the sew-along schedule but I am learning along the way and keeping track on things I need to learn and master.

Have a nice weekend!

Sureau Dress: Sewing the Muslin-Update!

Wednesday, November 14, 2012
I'd like to make a follow up post regarding my massacred muslin in my previous posting.

Yesterday, I managed to alter it . Though it is obvious, that there is a gape on the neckline. Bust line is way too big for my bust size. I need to do SBA on that area which I will be doing today using the technique in the previous blog post of Paunnet.

I am still learning in this part of sewing..adjustment of the bust area and how to manage gapes.

That's what I love about sew-along, you learn things in the process.

I will be updating my progress for sure..see you next post!

Robe Sureau Pattern

Friday, November 02, 2012
Look! what i have here.

I received my Robe Sureau Pattern last Wednesday and I can't wait for the sew-along to start. Though, I am a bit nervous since it's my first time to join such sewing activity online. I'm no pro in sewing you know! but I am challenging myself.

Now, time to hunt for a nice fabric for this pattern.

If your up to the challenge head on to Paunnet's site for she hosted the sew-along with Eleonore the owner of Deer & Doe.

Wish me luck!

Sureau Sew-along!

Wednesday, October 17, 2012
October...whew! this is the month of the year that i do not like. Gloomy skies, sometimes rainy and so short day. Such weather doesn't give justice to my day. I need to motivate, inspire myself to keep going. Depression, homesickness..these are things I really do hate when autumn comes.

To keep me inspired and motivated, I am challenging & submitting myself to join the first sew-along hosted by Paunnet & Eleonore of Doe & Deer using the Robe Sureau dress pattern.  It will keep my autumn blues away and will make me busy as well. Perfect timing for the weather is getting colder and kids are pretty in preschool.
If your IN for the sew-along, then go and click the button below...

Sureau Sew-along

I am excited and as well as giddy to start. Can't wait for the pattern.

Have a nice day everyone!
