What i want for Santa

Oh my! it's 1st of December already!  Time flies so fast isn't it? Which means Christmas is just around the corner. But I am still not planning anything for the holidays nor no Christmas spirits yet in our homes. Though in Polish tradition putting up Christmas decors would start one week before Christmas day.

Anyhow, since Santa Claus day is soon too.. i am whispering Santa Claus what I really want.......

Lately, been inspired or somewhat obsessed by this lady.

inspired to waear such twiggy dresses or outfit.

But who is TWIGGY?

According to Wikipedia, she is an english supermodel , actress, singer and known for her androgynous looks, large eyes, long eyelashes, thin build and short hair. Shes is one of the best fashion icon on the 60's. And the best thing is, she likes sewing and used this skill to make her own clothing.

She exactly lived a very fabolous life. 

And so i am inspired by her.

I am recently inspired by her looks and fashion sense.

Inspiring tutorials

Wonderful tutorials that i would like to try on hopefully this summer.

a reversible skirt tutorial from Disney of Ruffles and Stuffs.

I love this idea of the skirt especially this summer when your out for vacation. hehehe! saving time and space.

 

Of course, many of my close friends knows that i am a sucker of accessories especially necklaces & earrings. The chunkier the better for me. My wardrobe would not be complete with a matching accessories. I made my own accessories too. Sad thing though I don't get to make a lot of them here in Poland due to lack of supplies. Back home, i have a jewelry suppliers and cost of materials their is way too cheap than here in Europe. So really dreaming to be back home.

So, this hardware store necklace tutorial of Made by Lex is a wonderful cost saving idea.

And of course, the ongoing tutorial at Grosgrain  for her free pattern month is something i am looking forward too everyday. In fact, trying on the first tutorial of Sew Convert, sunny resort blouse pattern today. Hopefully, I could get to finish it tomorrow. 

This crochet detachable collar tutorial of iro iro at Vivat Veritas site is also quite an inspiration for a crochet and collar lover like me. Not only that! the free bag pattern of Nette  is also a pretty thing to do this summer and a nice gift idea to girlfriend's on their special day.  

And of course, the free hand machine embroidery tutorial of Paunnet is something I should not miss doing. I love embroidery and i love to make things with special embroidery on it. So, I am giddy to try this on too.

Today, I am making a dress with a scallop edge inspired by the  scalloped edge tutorial of Vain and Vapid. So far, pretty sewing it fast and hopefully to finish it by tomorrow or before the weekend.

And now, I have to find time at least once a week to do those wonderful inspiring tutorial.

Who would not love this girls?
 Their fashion sense is super fabolous. They are not afraid to mix and match with their  thrifted wardrobe.

 Did I mention here I love thrifting? I'm a self-confessed thrift store junky :-D yey! There is something about vintage and second hand things that gives me a kind of excitement and nostalgic.  I hope I could share here next time some of my favorite vintage things i've collected for years.

Anyhow, I am having fun watching the video of clothes encounter girls . I followed them over in facebook and of course in their youtube channel.

pixie haircut - why not!

As a mom of two active toddlers, my time is on a run most of the time. If your a mom you understand what i mean. 

it seems i always have hair issues lately. Falling hair, thinning hair and not so easy to manage. That sometimes, really worries me. Hair is the crowing glory of every ones faces. Recently that I do not look good anymore with having a long hair. It doesnt match my age and lifestyle as a mom.  

So, was thinking of cutting my hair into a short pixie style. I am into short hairstyle... as in super short hairstyle during my student days in university. The pressure of school and having a part time job tend to make my life easier if i have such short manageable hair. Until I entered the corporate real world. My job demands me to travel more often and be very active at all times. So, I maintained such super short hair.  In fact, when my hubby met me for the first time, I have this boyish hairstyle. (i'd love to share that picture here but i need to find time where i put that in my file.)

This time, why not!  i think i still can carry such hairstyle. I think.

Been googling for some pictures on the net about pixie haircuts, and katie holmes emerge to be one of the celebrities who is into pixie hairstyles and then Keira Knightley too.

Keira Knightley's front style of haircut is also very flexible to style.

I also search if an asian cut of such cut.

and I like that color of that asian girl's hair but i do not think it will fit into my skin color since i'm morena.

Rihanna and Victoria Beckham also rockin such do too. 

Will super pixie haircut will look good me? What do u think?
