My first fabric designs

Friday, March 08, 2013
I spent the entire evening designing and making fabric prints.

I've found Spoonflower while searching for fabrics online, and some sewing bloggers mentioned Spoonflower as well. The curious side of me kicks in and so visited the site. Oh well, what a wonderful site to shop for fabrics. All are so adorable! Not only that you can upload your fabric designs or prints but you can sell it as well.

I made a try for my future sewing projects. Though not as fantastic as the other designers but at least I've tried.

A cat print name Simba the cat, after my friends cat named Simba.

dog paws

Basha bunnies, inspire by my friend's bunny name Basha.

And, i love mustache and so does my little boy. So made up this design to remind me of how handsome a man is with a mustache.

Hopefully, I could order a swatch fabric and sample for this and I'll sell them.

Happy Friday!

Inspiring tutorials

Thursday, April 28, 2011
Wonderful tutorials that i would like to try on hopefully this summer.

I love this idea of the skirt especially this summer when your out for vacation. hehehe! saving time and space.

Of course, many of my close friends knows that i am a sucker of accessories especially necklaces & earrings. The chunkier the better for me. My wardrobe would not be complete with a matching accessories. I made my own accessories too. Sad thing though I don't get to make a lot of them here in Poland due to lack of supplies. Back home, i have a jewelry suppliers and cost of materials their is way too cheap than here in Europe. So really dreaming to be back home.
So, this hardware store necklace tutorial of Made by Lex is a wonderful cost saving idea.

Really pretty necklace isn't it?

And of course, the ongoing tutorial at Grosgrain  for her free pattern month is something i am looking forward too everyday. In fact, trying on the first tutorial of Sew Convert, sunny resort blouse pattern today. Hopefully, I could get to finish it tomorrow.

This crochet detachable collar tutorial of iro iro at Vivat Veritas site is also quite an inspiration for a crochet and collar lover like me. Not only that! the free bag pattern of Nette  is also a pretty thing to do this summer and a nice gift idea to girlfriend's on their special day.
And of course, the free hand machine embroidery tutorial of Paunnet is something I should not miss doing. I love embroidery and i love to make things with special embroidery on it. So, I am giddy to try this on too.

Today, I am making a dress with a scallop edge inspired by the  scalloped edge tutorial of Vain and Vapid. So far, pretty sewing it fast and hopefully to finish it by tomorrow or before the weekend.

And now, I have to find time at least once a week to do those wonderful inspiring tutorial.

Look! something flowery

Tuesday, April 19, 2011
Look! what my pretty daughter did to to these people :-(

One of their daily activities at home is painting. So one afternoon, they are painting together with her dad, after a while, i just heard them laughing. And so, i found my daughter painting the faces of these people from the magazine. She made some stories behind them like this woman....

I got a bad headache today!

this man....

How cool is my head? huh!

Sometimes she likes to makes stories to things and with people she saw or watch. She is that imaginative. I hope it will not go wild.

After, she asked me to make something for her. And so we end up with these..............flowery things.

flower headbands for her and some brooch for me too.

I simply love red..and so as this one <3

Yellow is for my daughter....

thinking of putting both red and yellow together in one headband. I think it's cool.

Or simply just this one. But i prefer to have this as a brooch for me.

Those are simple things we did with my daughter. I would take a picture of us wearing those flowery things. I can't take pictures of daughter now since she is sick and not in the mood for picture taking. owww!

Have a blessed holy week everyone!

Crafty talks on a winter Friday

Friday, February 15, 2008
Yesterday was a great day! Everyone is painting the town red expressing love in different ways. Mine was a great one too...a wonderful time celebrating the day of the hearts with my life's treasures. Hope you had a wondeful time too!

Anyhow, these days I am too busy doing some handmade craft. I have projects filing up and I have to finish the one i just started few days ago - this POINTY KITTY by Hilary Lang at weewonderfuls . I will not post how it would look like and what it is all about to keep you excited to check it soon. But I am telling you it is an easy project just needs ample time and patience. I hope this week I will finish my labor of love so I can start the next one.

Next in my list of projects to do is this fadengrafix introduced to me by my Polish girlfriend Paulina. Here's the sample tutorial:

I think crafting projects makes my idle time at home more ethusiastic and to get myself away from bad thinking (u know what I mean when your living far from home) especially on a winter time. So much so, It is a time to practice again my passion in the field of arts and designing. My mind works more in that instance. More post about crafty things next time. Happy Friday!
