Thrift shop adventure: Fabrics

It rains like crazy. 

I'm super bored.

Today, I managed to go to a nearby thrift shop and found this wonderful fabrics. This would be a wonderful material for my sewing project this spring and summer.
 

Overall, I paid 35 złoty. *wink! Isn't it awesome? For usually fabrics here per meter or yard cost most likely 20-30zloty, depending on the fabric of course.

My first fabric designs

I spent the entire evening designing and making fabric prints. 

I've found Spoonflower while searching for fabrics online, and some sewing bloggers mentioned Spoonflower as well. The curious side of me kicks in and so visited the site. Oh well, what a wonderful site to shop for fabrics. All are so adorable! Not only that you can upload your fabric designs or prints but you can sell it as well. 

I made a try for my future sewing projects. Though not as fantastic as the other designers but at least I've tried.

And, i love mustache and so does my little boy. So made up this design to remind me of how handsome a man is with a mustache.

Hopefully, I could order a swatch fabric and sample for this and I'll sell them.

Look! something flowery

Look! what my pretty daughter did to to these people :-(

One of their daily activities at home is painting. So one afternoon, they are painting together with her dad, after a while, i just heard them laughing. And so, i found my daughter painting the faces of these people from the magazine. She made some stories behind them like this woman....

I got a bad headache today!

Sometimes she likes to makes stories to things and with people she saw or watch. She is that imaginative. I hope it will not go wild.

After, she asked me to make something for her. And so we end up with these..............flowery things.

flower headbands for her and some brooch for me too. 

I simply love red..and so as this one <3

Yellow is for my daughter....

thinking of putting both red and yellow together in one headband. I think it's cool. 

Or simply just this one. But i prefer to have this as a brooch for me.

Those are simple things we did with my daughter. I would take a picture of us wearing those flowery things. I can't take pictures of daughter now since she is sick and not in the mood for picture taking. owww!

Online fabric stores in Poland

Recently, i am an avid follower of this sewing /crafty blogger named LONGTHREAD. She has impressive pretty creations over there at her site, so  no wonder I am in love with her site right away. Another perk for a non polish speaker like me is that, I can understand all her posting for she also interpreted it into english. I

I've been looking for good fabric shops here in Poland for longtime now. That is my number one problem here when I just starting with my sewing hobby...........fabrics........and other sewing materials. The power of internet really do works wonders at this age, just search it online and blog hop from one blogger to another who has the same interest with yours..then voila! you can find anwers to your queries and enjoy still your passion. even if your living in a foreign land. 

So, i inquired from LONGTHREAD where i can possibly buy sort of materials for sewing especially fabrics. She is so kind to answer me back with list of Polish sites where I can possibly buy online.  These are the online fabric shops she told me about........

1. Petite Juliette

2. Jednoiglec

3. szmatkalatka

Other than those, there are also sellers in Allegro.pl or Ebay.pl. But with the two i need to know the polish name of such  materials like the particular name of the fabric. So far, i am settled with those three online shops.

Isn't it great news for me? Now, i am hopping there to find some materials for my projects.

Sorry for that so stupid introduction. Anyways, just wanting to express that feeling of some people lately who's been trying to know what's up with me. You know envious people :-D tsk tsk tsk...

Ok.....

Nothing much lately except that I am sick while writing this. Not that badly sick but just winter blues. I am not used to exposed more outside when it is really that cold. Last week we had fun time with my daughter in the snow...snow skiing. You know kids wants to have fun outdoors even if it's too cold they still wanting to go out and be with their kiddy self. So i let her go..opps! we went out and had fun. And so now, this is what i've got. Doesn't matter anyway as long as kids are well.

What's more............ life is pretty busy oh always busy actually. With two active kids in tow who would not be busy. At the same time managing the house also demands my time and devotion. Applause with that word DEVOTION :-D

for you information, i am making this year as a devotion to be just with my family and investing on my future career. So i have to tackle new things and review new things. Learning so I would grow living here in Poland. It makes me hard to adjust honestly till now with the language. Though I can understand a bit now but still I have to fully understand. I hope tomorrow...but in time for sure.

There is much things to do too that really keeps me busy. My new found hobby and investing on a new project that would make myself grow as well. You know maybe i am too ambitious but who knows..............my target to open my own shop in etsy.com. Incase you do not know that site try to visit. It is site where you can sell all your handmade products. So incase you do not know too, I am in that thing. I love to do things on my own hand. There more of me when with that. It is where I can express fully myself. (wink)

Snowy, crafty Sunday

Cloudy sky, strong winds...that is the weather like yesterday. The most last night the wind blows stronger and today it is snowing hard as in real big snow are falling. All over is white again.

So, a good Sunday to do some crafty things.
