Happy Father’s Day to the One Who Shows Up, Always

Monday, June 23, 2025

They say the most important decision in life is choosing the right partner. Every day, I'm reminded that I chose the right one. He isn’t perfect nor I'm far from a perfect wife, but he’s perfectly made for me, and together we’ve built a beautiful partnership in marriage.

Old photos of us, when our kids are still in their toddler years
The challenging years of being first time parents.

He always makes sure I get to my travel destinations safely whether by train, plane, or whatever means of transport I’m taking. He checks that I depart safely, arrive safely, and fully enjoy every journey. He supports me as I build this life, these experiences, for myself and for us.

Today, I’m reminded once again that he truly is the one for me because I see how devoted and hands-on he is as a father to our two wonderful children. Since day one, I’ve witnessed the kind of dad he is, and how his relationship with our kids continues to grow, inspiring him to become an even better person.

He starts by acknowledging my weaknesses and fills the gaps with love, respecting me, my boundaries, not just because I’m his wife, but because I’m a woman worthy of respect and honesty. There’s no ghosting, no gaps in communication. Instead, he makes sure everything is grounded in faith. Our children were born out of love and he reminds me of that every single day.

With that being said, no wonder he is truly stepping into his role as a father because he has a strong foundation: his faith and a clear mindset about the sacredness of love in marriage, as we nurture our children into adulthood.

Today is Father’s Day here in Poland.

Wszytkiego najlepszego z okazji Dnia Ojca! ❤️

Let’s normalize acknowledging and lifting up the wonderful dads of our children, and our own fathers too. ๐Ÿ’™

TATA

Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Tata -  is a Polish word for Daddy.

This post today ( i know very late post again! since we celebrated father's day last Saturday here in Poland) still he deserves a post here in my blog. Better late than never anyways.

G, the father of my children. A person I truly trust and I respected a lot. He deserves a gold medal for being a wonderful dad since minute one of my pregnancy.

He is my confidant, my best friend, my listening ears and my hero. Though there are opposite sides of us but as they say opposites attracts.

I do not know what to write or how to begin.........i want to describe him how and what he is as a dad to my children. and i think the best word to describe him  is WONDERFUL! Truly he is a wonderful person and a great father to my two lovely children.

Kocham ciฤ™!

Happy TATA day!

P.S. The story of my father's day cake is a different story. I'd rather not blog about it. and i think you now why...it was a disaster but still i managed to recover it the last minute. yey!

P.S.S. the TATA word is inspired by Chie's vivat veritas tutorial on fathers day cut out letters.

6 years!

Saturday, February 25, 2012
Sometimes, I am a bit cheesy.......

6 years ago we tied the knot with G in a small chapel because that's what we really like to be married in a small church. though the guest isn't that small since he married me, a Filipina. If you know the Filipino way of getting married...you understand what i mean. :-D

Alright...allow me to share some  wonderful things why I married and love G so much.

G is neat.

....He always has that clean nails and soft hands.
....He arranges his things according to how important it is and places things carefully  in special boxes.

For friends who really knows me, that's one criteria i am looking for a guy. For me, if a man can afford to have such clean hands much more the unseen parts of his body.  And he still didn't fail me till now.

He has great sense of humor.
............his jokes made my day.  He cracks jokes unintentionally in between conversation and he didn't know that it is already funny for me and to some of our friends.
and that made him not bore me a bit even before I meet him in person. Since we met each other in the chat room. ok ok..that  lovestory deserves another post.

He is very supportive .
............ never i heard him say NO NO NO! he always encourages me to go on with what i like and love to do. Like now, I am very passionate with sewing. He bought my very first sewing machine as a gift. Encourages me to practice and practice so I would hone my skills in sewing, baking and cooking. Never i heard him saying to stop with what I am doing instead patiently waiting for me when i will be finish with what I am doing . He listens to my ramblings, rants and ideas with my creation with open ears and do criticize me with things he knows best for me. He is my number 1 fan.

He loves chocolates and sweets.
...........It is both our guilty pleasures. It is wonderful to know you both share the same simple pleasures in life.

If he loves chocolates much more with COFFEE and TEA.
............we are both the same a coffee and tea lover. If chocolates are our pleasure much more with coffee and tea. We love to discuss and talk things over a coffee and tea or that when we are watching movies
together.
kubek

He is always makes me cry. I remember  the day I walked down the aisle to meet him at the altar, i cried because I know I will be marrying the person who could take care of me forever and that of our children.
....I cried not because he makes me sad but because he never fails what he promised to me and to my parents. He always makes me important and prioritizes me and our children in everything.
....small things he does to me really overwhelming sometimes.

He is humble and  a man with great faith.
........I am humbled by G's faith and his dedication in practicing his faith. He practice it with conviction and encourages each other to always pray together . A man with faith  can win the world with ease. I always believes on that.

Until now, I know why I made my best decision to give my life to this man. We are not perfect person but we are made perfect for each other. Now that we are celebrating our 6 years together as husband and wife, much more now I know why we are perfect for each other. I am overwhelming with joy why I married G and been a wonderful dad to our children. He's not only my husband but my bestfriend.

Cheers for our great life together!

As a mom, i have to make activity for my kids especially outdoors. So summer is the best time to do things out of home since we are living in a cold country.

So when summer comes, this is what I love to do when sun is up...taking pictures of anything and of course with my kids.

And at this very moment, I am hoping tomorrow would be summer already. Awww!

HaPpY HeArT's DaY!

Tuesday, February 14, 2012
There is no doubt that love is in the air .....I feel it!

G: Let our love be like a music, giving joy to our hearts.
Mabuang ko nimo! Mahal kita! ( i am crazy for you! I love you!)
     Mwuah <3 :-)

That is the note of G (husband) while giving his gift to me today. He gave me a CD of his favorite now my favorite artist as well a-ha.

Me: Take one each day to remind you how great our LOVE is.
Kocham ciฤ™ moj polaku! ( i love you my Polish)

I gave him a simple gift..a box full of heart candies.

We intend to give small gifts to each other. We believe that simple things really means a lot. it is not the quantity of the gift you received but the person who gave you the gift.

Wherever you are and no matter how you celebrate your day today...always remember that LOVE is the greatest thing in the world. Happy heart's day everyone!

Last weekend at the park

Tuesday, April 05, 2011
Here's some pictures from Saturday at the park.

Our lovely faces...

Recently, I love to take pictures of my shoes and feet.

and i trying hard to master that famous flying / levitation shots. hahaha!

but look at the original picture below while i still did not crop it. My daughter i don't know amazed or find me crazy jumping. Maybe at the back of her mind was...'what the heck my mom doing?' hahah!
People around the park...

kids are enjoying the rides so as mommy :-)

and that is usually our weekend ends. A walk at the park, shopping with the kids, eat out with them usually just pizza and some drinks since kids likes pizza. And night time is our 'US TIME' with hubby, watching movie till we get so sleepy. Weekend is really just family time for us.

Happy day everyone!

Happy 2nd birthday son!

Monday, March 28, 2011
Sun is cheering up a bit nowadays, which means spring is taking ground. Love it when the sun is shining all day long.

The past few days was spent resting, thinking and sewing some clothes for summer. Not that exciting though.

My son just turned 2 years old last March 18 but we celebrated it a week after since I just had operation and i couldn't do a lot of things. So we postpone the celebration though my mom in law prepared something on that day, so we had a quiet celebration at home with just family. Last Saturday, we officially celebrated his day with few close friends. It's not a grand party though but something he would remember forever. Birthdays just happens once a year and so it has to be celebrated no matter how. Importantly, you remember that day and we shown him how special he is into our lives.

Of course my little girl Izabela is as well enjoying. She likes happy celebrations and she can't wait to celebrate her 4th birthday soon.

I like this picture of both of them. I can't help but teary eyed how they grew so very fast. Time flies so fasst indeed. I can no longer recall the last time i post their baby pictures here. Now they are grown ups.  They are the source of our joy and our life's angels. Whatever their if's and but's, they are still adorable to me because they came from me and they are made out of love.  They are bundles of joy that i woud not trade for anything.

Happy 2nd birthday Son!

in one of the parenting site i saw a mom writing a letter to her son, so was inspired to do the same.

here's a letter for you hope you will and can read this in the future.

_______________________________________________
Dearest Son Jan,

It seems like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital, and now you are my little man. Your father and I were very nervous at the prospect of being parents . It did not strike us until you and ate Izabela arrived - and then it hit us. I must say, your father took to being a dad pretty quickly; it was almost like he had been a dad all his life! But I was overwhelmed by this new responsibility. To care for this tiny life for the rest of my life! Was I ready for it?

It took a while for me to come to terms with the fact that I was a mother and was going to be one forever. But today after two years of looking back, I cannot help but smile. It is a feeling of fulfillment beyond words. Although I am still not sure if I am a great mother, I feel that I have done some justice to the role.

Every milestone of yours was a kind of personal victory for me. Your first smile, your first word, your first step.... I was just amazed and once again overwhelmed at what a little miracle you are.

As the years passed things started to get very challenging and sometimes I found myself in very difficult situations. The mess you made, the tantrums you threw, and the other millions of naughty things you did really stressed me out. I have agonised over many of the decisions I had to make when it came to discipline. I have had many arguments with your dad. But in time we learnt to parent as a team. We still have our differences of opinion but have learned to listen to each other.

The times I was affected the most was when you were sick with flu, severe diarrhea, pneumonia, ear infections that needs to be operated, frequent visits to the doctor, long days in the hospital, sleepless nights, antibiotics, shots......

Now I have learnt to take things in my stride and deal with them with a calm mind. The one thing that helped me tremendously through the toughest of times was your smile - that 1000 watt glow made me forget everything and realize it was all worth it.

Soon it would be time for you to go to preschool. I have to prepare you as much as I could for your  dreaded first day, but if you cry so much, then I will set down and cried with you. Until you will be fully adjusted to your second home. For sure, i will still cry and get emotional  because I did not want to let go of you but you have to learn to be on your own and be a smart little man.

I just want you to have a lots of fun, enjoy school, make good friends and most of all be a good human being.

We live our life in phases. When one ends, another begins. Change is constant and life is short. So seize the moment and live life to the fullest, have no regrets.

I have learnt so much from you and from your Ate Iza and will continue to do so for the years to come. How to forgive, how to love unconditionally not expecting anything in return, how to be innocent, how to enjoy the small things in life, how to be carefree…. The list is endless.... Thank you! You have made my life worthwhile! God bless you!

Kocham ciฤ™ ( i love you),

Mom

I'm in LOVE

Wednesday, February 02, 2011
I am in love.

Yes! always, to the same man i married 5 years ago.

This month we will celebrate our 5 years together (*blushing)  as married couple.

With this video.... i remember the time i walk down the aisle with butterflies on my stomach because of mix emotions. hehhe! That was really a wonderful moment for me with the man now my husband waiting for me at the altar while i am walking  down the church aisle  crying, with my parents both besides me.

I could hear people that time too cried with me. It was tears of joy...overflowing with joy and love that day. My two closest friends cried with me that day who will soon enter married life too.

This week too,  i am so happy when i knew that two of my closest friends  will finally tie the knot. The other one this year and the second one would be next year. So there is really a reason to be in love and be inspired with life and share the love to everyone. Both of them are very special to me.

I do not know yet, how will we celebrate our 5 years wedding anniversary. For sure, it would be something simple but special.

Spread more love everyone.

This week's house inspiration

Friday, May 21, 2010

There's a lot of things to do at home, but only time is lacking. We could not do things straight since we have to consider our two little active toddlers.

This week's inspiration to do some redecorating the house.

Tutorial of Morroccan aged walls gives me an idea what to do with our ugly walls. So proposing to hubby that this would be a nice idea for our walls. Hmmmm...this is the pic at Mrs. Adventure blogsite.

Second inspiration this paper silhouettes tutuorial found at Craftynest site. Really awesome one! Inspired by the famous Victorian hats. I love wearing hats too so with this tutorial.

So, that makes me inspired to do something when this crazy rain here will stop. It's been raining here for 2 weeks now and that makes ,the worst flood ever in history of Poland. We are just fortunate that we are not affected by the flood. Our area is safe but we have to be ready.

So at least, these two tutorials inspires me today to push through with our house renovation and decorating.

Have a safe weekend!

My children are making me insane

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

My little boy is now a quirky eater. What shall I do to let him eat the foods I am giving to him?
Any tips out there?

and my little girl, Izabela is still afraid to sit on the toilet bowl. I am working double time with her since she would be in preschool next school opening. If she still can't, then we will not send her to pre school. What will I do too? Any help, suggestions would really do me well.

They are both active toddlers and that makes me so tired after a day. I am a hands on mom with no nanny and no helper with me. So, other than taking care of them I am takign care of the household as well. A house manager and a do it yourself mommy on the go. How is that?

yey!

See.... i could say that I am a superwoman now. whew!

These kind of predicament makes mommy insane :-(

Updates!

Monday, December 07, 2009
In case you all wondering where am I for the past months why I am no longer blogging in here, oh well there are just numerous reasons why I'm too lazy to blog and update my site. Living here in Poland was amazingly busy having two little ones with you, organizing things and enjoying every moments with them are just one of the many reasons why blogging take a back seat. Anyhoow, I am still alive and kicking. heeheh! I am hoping, absolutely hoping to update from time to time. Of course, been here for sometime now and these has been my outlet everytime I want to blurt out or let something all out of my system may it be happy, sad or whatever momentum i wanted to put into writing.

First of... my kids grew so fast......look!

My baby Jan is now 9 months old and Izabela is 2 years and 5 months. Next year she will attend kindergarten. yey! What a wonderful milestone for my little girl.

Another thing, life is amazinly busy doing some D.I.Y. thing around the household and in my new found sewing hobby. (wink) isn't it wondeful?

As much now I am honing my skills in sewing and designing. Sewing dresses for my little girl and for the house. How is that?

That's it! Isn't it great? I maybe too invisible nowadays here in the blogging world but hey I am just around.

Have a safe day everyone. Hope your doing your share for the upcoming holidays.

Way to go!

Wednesday, July 29, 2009
There's a lot of catching up in here. Been extremely busy the past days. My responsibility as a mom is always on top all the time.

Last weeks, is such a wonderful milestone for Baby Jan. He can now turn going to his belly and can roll over twice or three times on the bed, that we need to be careful of. We can't leave him unattended most of the time.

Recently, he is showing signs that he's ready for solid foods. So today, I gave him his first taste of solids. It is dry cereals with some breastmilk on it. So far he likes it. For now, we will be off for 1 teaspoon and gradualy increase it in some days.

It is so exciting to share this wondeful milestones of my child's life.

Last Saturday, we celebrated my daughter's second birthday at home. We opted to prepare everything this time. I made the birthday cake with some cupcakes on the side, and my mom-in-law made other cakes too. Our little girl were having so much fun. She is one happy little girl on that day. Now that she is two girls old. She is showing some wonderful signs too that sometimes she wanted indepence like playing on her own, talking, asking and repeating the same questions most of the time. Sometimes it is so tiring, but that's her way of discovering and knowing things.

WAY TO GO KIDS!

Lately, we are reminded by hubby that our children are growing so fast. That we will miss this stage of their life where they are still so dependent on us and wanting as more often. That at this time, we have to enjoy our time with them because when they reach the stage of adolescence, they want to be on their own world.

This week, I am kind of busy (again!). We're off for a vacation. We will be out of home for some days or weeks. So, since Monday I am preparing the house and the kids stuff. You know that it is horrible to go on a vacation with kids around. So as much things we can take for children, we will be taking it. it doesn't matter how many days we are out but it is important that evrything is set and ready for the kids, especialy that they will be on a new place, new environment. As much as possible, we would want them to feel just like we are at home. So be bringing their security things... things that makes them comfortable and at ease.

For today, i m still preparing.

You Are Inspirational

Monday, July 13, 2009
Hello everyone! Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend. As for me, weekend is best part of the week. Monday's for me is always the hard day of the week knowing that I will be alone again taking care of the children while G is away to work. Nevertheless, I get used to it.

It's been some weeks now, that I am experiencing stomach pain. That is why, I am not regularly blogging. I do not know what is this. I will know later for I really have to visit my doctor for check-up.

Anyways, I will be doing a contest in my site soon to celebrate my daughter's 2nd birthday. So, how is that?

For today, I am inspired to join YOU ARE INSPIRATIONAL hosted by Mommy Chris of Mommy Journey and Inspirational Insights.

Today's theme is FIRST BLOG ON YOUR BLOG LIST.

award

This woman's sight may not be the first one on my list but definitely she is one of my first friend in the blogging world. She is a Filipina too and a working mom. I truly admire her personality in dealing with her friends and towards managing her responsibility as a mom. Her 3 sites: VINANINI, HOUSE OF EVERYTHING & ON A WONDERFUL DAY LIKE TODAY, really reflects her personally as a woman with great faith, with happy disposition in life and a wonderful mom. Her sites are inspiring in the since that you could get some inputs as to managing the household while working full time in the corporate world. I could see that she manages it well.

To you VINA you are really an inspiration to me and to other mom's out there. So, why not drop by her sites and be inspired.

Happy Monday again!
