Fashion Inspiration: Spring Minimalist look

The collection above are all Emerson Fry spring collection that I am eyeing. I love the designs, especially  that the company is just a small independent company that creates simple wearable pieces that is with quality. Did I mentioned I strongly support independent designers and ethically made products? Yes!  

Although, buying in such companies really cost an arm and legs for me.  For, most of the collections aren't fitted to my budget. I'm a frugal fashionista, and if you are like me, then you understand why. Nevertheless, they're cool and I could say.. I can see myself wearing it.....really me. *wink! really?

Who would not love all these looks.  I'm into minimalist look these days. I don't know if something to do with age or just that, I find minimal wearing suits my on-the go life. Simplicity is beauty, you know that!

However, while trying to search for an easy budget to get such looks. Here's what I've found......

The slip on/skater shoe that the model is wearing on the last photo, you can find one similar in a lower budget. I searched and found this at H&M. I see this type of shoes all over fashion week photos..and versatile to wear over a dress, skirt, trousers and shorts.

H&M for only 59.90-99.90 Polish zloty. 

An oversize coat, I found one at supermarketstore.pl - a Polish online independent shop that sells as well minimalist type of style for only :

490.00 Polish zloty

Still a bit pricey for me, although a bit okay than the EF that cost $475.00. For me, investing a piece of coat is essential, if you live in a place where it is always cold and chilly .

Oversize coats are on trend. I see that all over....and I think it isn't that hard to find similar style now in  most shops. However, I still really prefer buying ethically made producst and small independent shops where I know how it is made and quality wise really speaks for the price. 

As for the other looks...those are basic clothing that is necessary in the closet. A white basic tee and a black skinny pants are a must have, and It is easy to find similar that doesn't cost a lot in any shops online and offline. 

So, these are my round up of spring minimal look inspiration that I'm aiming for this spring.  As for you, let me know what you think. Do you like to shop on a budget or indulge yourself in a pricey piece of clothing knowing it is essential for your wardrobe or that because  it is on trend?  Do you support ethically made products that is made locally or buy in a sweat shops?

Well, well, well.........May is over! 

*whew

May is just amazing month for me. I found more life in the most wonderful way. I  found so much inspiration to be happy, more creative, inspired and be more passionate with life. May offers a lot of promising things yet something to hurdle for the coming months.

1. Spring is something really magical for me. It's so rejuvenating and giving me hope, especially witnessing how flowers unfolds its new LIFE.

Blissful!

2. I love to pick some fresh flowers or wildplant after my morning run or during an afternoon walk. I usually decorate it at home. There's just joy putting something natural things right infront of your eyes.

3. My little boy, he isn't a camera fan. Then, I love taking pictures of him right when he's not aware of. So, that's why kind of blurry pic. Still, i love his facial reaction. His one great boy.

4 . This flower/plant always amazes me. May is the month when its buds started with yellow then turns into green. I love the transition of colours.

5 .My little girl, she's amiable in so many ways. She's the sweetest little girl I know. She'll be 6 soon and she wants to throw a tea party. That I need to plan as early as now.

6. Typically me. attempted to capture a shot of myself but failed for isn't clear. Blurry !  what a crap!  I will never do that again. I badly need a tripod. But that's my MAY face.

7. and now it's June! much more I am embracing every moment of it. No looking back. No fears and feel content.

What's instore for me this June? That I don't know. All I know is I'm ready to experience June and can't wait to know what June has for me. Please, be good to me June.

Cold spring

Yes! the sun did shine today.

.............but very COLD spring!

I know...i know! been whining about our weather  for some days now. If you live here in Polandia you will really understand what I am ranting for.

Kids easily gets sick. Outdoor activities are so limited more indoor with the kids. That makes them sick, bored and impatient.

Anyways, today I took a picture of my tulips that I bought in the shop last night. I want to see more colours in our space and much more I am so obsessed with tulips nowadays. 

Blame the weather again.

The sky is too blue and sunny, yet still so frosty and cold outside.

So, where is justice in this part of the world?  

*sigh

Been awhile not posting about a sewing projects and stuffs. I promise! Tomorrow I would be posting one.

Today

flower in sprinkler pot, a springtime activity for my daughter at home.

Calm.

Quiet. 

Sounds of the clock tickling. 

Head spinning.

Weather is warmer but rainy.

That is what the day today. How I wish to have such moments & weather at all time.  Spring isn't just a dream. Trees is slowly growing back its leaves.... Tulips poking out...Springtime is around the corner and that the world over here in Polandia would be colourful, wonderful ones again. 

I don't know how to describe my mood today. Sickly....nauseous....blurry! Sneezing here and there. My companion today is a box of tissue paper, a cup of green tea with lemon & honey and book that is a bit interesting to read then I couldn't concentrate. So, I don't know.

Life is mundane in a way but overall, I am happy and content. Life as a part time English teacher here in Poland is quite demanding. I didn't know being a teacher is that tough especially that I am dealing with small children and early teens that needed disciplining on proper classroom behavior. Everytime I step into my classes, I always remind myself to calm down, relax and patience...patience more patience! Oh my! How can I be patient, when with my children I tend to be impatient sometimes. And so, that is how life of a teacher. Being a second parent to this children (students). Quite challenging in someways and yet eats up a lot of energy. 

One time, my daughter asked me, ' Mum, why are you a teacher?'. I answered back with astonishment, ' oh dear! by choice'. Her face looked puzzled with  my answer, but that's the truth. There is no way for me to start a career here as a Psychologist or in the field of Industrial Psychology.  But by being a teacher in English. And hopefully from this, I will get to see the career path I would want take on here. Not the career maybe I had back then. Perhaps, one that is suiting to my likings and passion. Teaching isn't so much of my passion. I always takes the free minded path....more independent ones. Wherein I have the freedom to do things.  I don't know if it is a good way. However, that is where I am happy. The world of arts and crafts is something so ME.

Here, The English language is now a demanding one. Since, I speaks the language (not well maybe), so it's rather an edge for me. An opportunity. so I grabbing the chance! That is what I mean with my daughter 'by choice!'. I chose to be one for their is an opportunity.  With my passion in the field of arts, It is always there. It is a talent within me. I can do it, perform it at anytime and in any phase but of course I need to pursue it!

For now, whatever path I may take as long as I am happy with it, Then I'll have to go for it! The competition market  is tough especially if I your competing it with yourself. So,  rally hard not to loss the bout.

Spring love

 Spring is finally here! hurray! I love spring, it's a mosaic of colors. It is so rejunevating too after long months of cold winter. Grrrr!

I could see that the tulips in the garden are blossoming and ready to be in full bloom very soon. I am enjoying the sunny weather too these days. So been out most of the time at home. Which means as well, more reason to sew and do some crafty things. Yehey! 

Been sewing since yesterday for a spring dress.  I am not done yet since children are  so demanding a lot of my time playing outdoors. So, of course I have to focus on them and do the sewing thing when they are sleeping or when hubby is home. 

There are things I wanted to do this week and the weeks to come. I have list of spring things to do this spring. 

First, i want to paint again the wall in the living room and the kitchen wall.

2nd, been thinking of what to decorate in my living room wall. Good thing though, while blog hopping yesterday I happen to know from Disney of RUFFLES AND STUFF about this wall decor tutorial. It was really lovely and pretty which what i really wanted to do.

3rd, been dying to have this kind of bicycle. I hope hubby will grant my wish.

5th, i was inspired by this dress. So i am sewing somewhat the same dress since yesterday. hoping to finish this one today.

 

6th,  can't wait to see such lovely colors of flowers anywhere.

 

7th, I'm also so giddy to try this leather accessory tutorial of Delia creates.  Perfect accessory for this spring and summertime. She has a lot of other wonderful tutorial too in her site.

 

8th,  take a lot of pictures when the sun is up all day long anywhere and whatever subjects.

Spring favorites

Goodbye snow!  Hello spring!

Yesterday officially spring sprung.  Love it....the weather is getting nicer when sun is always up all day long.

Lately I've been eyeing on these colored trousers. Best outfit for spring and summer for me.I browsed at Zara they have the same coloured trousers collections and I bumped into not enough time site and blogged about this as well.  Hmmmm... pretty interesting. Can't wait to hunt the same style in the thrift and vintage shops down the city tomorrow.

What I like about it is the effortless look. I am a trouser, shirt person. So, I really go for such look on the summer and spring.

This madewell collections is such an eye candy too.

The blazer paired with short is reallyl IN nowadays.

Eyeing on the same short in the thrift shop last time we were there with my friend, but we didn't find one maybe because what they have in the store that time was all for winter. Can't wait for tomorrows thrift shopping with girlfriends.

Of course, I love orange! So that sleeveless polo really stunning.

  

Oxford shoes is, one of my favorite piece to complete my wardrobe nowadays. For me, you can't go wrong with anything you match with oxfords, especially when paired with your favorite flowy spring/summer dress...really pretty!

Last Satruday while in the mall, I saw a lot of bicycles on display.  From all styles, shapes and colors. But that red bicycle really caught my eyes while browing Krakow bicycle chick site. The same bicycle I've been eyeing for sometime now. So when i saw last saturday similar style of bicycle on display, i winked at hubby and he knows that's what I like to have. 

Indeed, It is really spring and summer will  kick in very soon too.

I just love it! 

I love it when the days are longer and the sun is up all day long.
